Eastern Design Students Win
the American Association of Museum's National Competition!!!

In the Spring of 2005, Eastern Graphic Design II students entered the
American Association of Museum's Centennial Poster Competition

Students were asked to create an image that would celebrate the broad and diverse scope of the Association's services. The competition was not limited to student submissions, but included professional designers and design agencies as well

The American Association of Museums has been bringing museums together since 1906, helping to develop standards and best practices, gathering and sharing knowledge, and providing advocacy on issues of concern to the entire museum community. They are dedicated to ensuring that museums remain a vital part of the American landscape, connecting people with the greatest achievements of the human experience, past, present and future.

AAM currently represents more than 15,000 individual museum professionals and volunteers, 3,000 institutions, and 300 corporate members.
Every type of museum is represented including art, history, science, military and maritime, and youth museums, as well as aquariums, zoos, botanical gardens, arboretums, historic sites, and science and technology centers.

We are proud to say that two students from Eastern's Graphic Design 2 class whose designs effectively celebrated and reflected the diversity of the AAM's mission, were named winners in this competition!

Ashley Crispino and Paige Howarth won first and second place respectively.
