Universal Language

These watercolors, polaroid transfers and digital collages are about the power of language. I used photographs of isolated letters on old buildings and signs as reference images for this series.

What engaged me in this work, beyond the beauty of each letter, was a sense of discovering large, sprawling messages that had been left for me by chance and time.
